Standard ASU - Modular ‘Small on Site’ Plants

World-class levels of reliability

Linde is one of the largest and most experienced suppliers of air separation plants and industrial gases worldwide, serving industries as diverse as metals, chemicals, electronics, energy, healthcare, and manufacturing. Depending on the industry, the volume and purity requirements vary dramatically. In addition, time and budgetary constraints often call for proven, reliable solutions that can be deployed at speed.

Our portfolio of flexible, modular air separation units (ASU’s) is the answer. Based on proven technologies, our modular designs are largely prefabricated for cost and time gains with smaller footprints. These modular plants are also designed for the highest levels of availability, with all key cryogenic components manufactured in-house. Combined with a backup system, our ASUs offer reliability levels very close to 100 percent.

Our wide modular portfolio ensures you will find the perfect match for your product, purity and volume needs. Gaseous oxygen flow rates scale from 1,000 to 50,000 normal cubic meters an hour (Nm3/h) and beyond. In addition, you can select a liquid-only supply mode or combine liquid bulk with a gaseous stream of oxygen for added flexibility. Both low- and high-purity models are available.

Our modular nitrogen offering supports capacities scaling from 1,000 to 100,000 Nm3/h (see our customized offering for higher capacities). Complementing our general models offering industrial and high purity levels, customers in the electronics industry also have the option of ultra-high-purity nitrogen product for specialized applications. We also offer integrated nitrogen liquefaction units.

Our Standard Product Line offerings of Small on Site plants are:

  1. NOVON® plants deliver high-purity gaseous and liquid products (O2, N2, Ar) for on-site and bulk supplies. Designed as packaged units for global road transport, NOVON supports capacities from 3000 to 1,50,000 Nm3/h of gaseous oxygen with a maximized degree of prefabrication.
  2. LION® plant family comprises fully standardized liquid generation plants that have been prefabricated to the greatest possible extent. They supply bulk volumes of high-purity liquid oxygen and nitrogen (argon also on request) to a host of applications that rely on industrial gases. The total liquid capacity of our LION ASUs ranges from 1,000 Nm3/h to 24,000 Nm3/h.
  3. SPECTRA® on-site nitrogen generation plants have been specially developed to meet the ultra-high-purity needs (in ppb level) of the electronics industry. SPECTRA modular ASUs offer the highest level of operational efficiency for lowest cost of ownership and environmental footprint. SPECTRA capacities range from 8,000 Nm3/h to 90,000 Nm3/h.
  4. INSPIRE® family of modular ASUs delivers nitrogen at industrial purity levels (ppm level purity). These nitrogen generation plants come in a range of capacities scaling from 8,000 Nm3/h to 70,000 Nm3/h to ensure the perfect fit for your individual flow requirements. PED can also supply nonstandard N2 plants for capacity ranging from 150 Nm3/hr. to 15000 Nm3/hr.
  5. LOGO® is often deployed in the iron, steel and non-ferrous industries, our LOGO™ ASUs provide an on-site stream of low-purity gaseous oxygen. With capacities ranging from 3,000 Nm3/h to 30,000 Nm3/h and purities typically extending from 90% to 95%, these modular solutions are ideal for customers who do not require the 99.5% purity level normally offered by high-purity plants. These plants can also provide high purity N2 as well as some liquid products.
  6. PULSE® nitrogen liquefaction units are the ideal way to convert gaseous products to liquid products. With liquification capacities ranges extending from 4,000 Nm³/h up to 20,000 Nm³/h, they support a wide flow spectrum. Prefabrication and pretesting allow for rapid time-to-solution and simplified on-site logistics as well as easy integration into existing plants.
  7. Oxygen VPSA for low purity O2
